That's abysmal not gonna lie.
Oof, not the best. RDR2 I can't imagine many people who would like to play it haven't already
Damn. That’s really bad I usually don’t complain but… this is morbid.
Nothing of interest for me there. Not a great month really.
For those who want to play RDR2, I would start right away as Rockstar games only seem to be on the service for a few months at a time.
Nothing for me. Other than probably having red dead stored on ps5 hardrive rather than disk.
Back catalogue is safe for now
Not anything worth for me this month.
Considering how many good games are being removed as well. This is actually quite bad.
Xzbit featuring snoop dog bitch please is what i feel about this line up.sony is doing theyre best wwf repo man on the people who subscribed to this.word up son
Nothing for me, but I would recommend the two Cat Quest games. They're easy and fun.
G-police brings back memories! The cat quest games are great but I have them. Never played Red Dead 2 so may give it a go if I find the time.
For anyone who hasn't played cat quest, I highly recommend them. Very poor month, don't think I'm renewing for premium.
More ps1 games that no one would ever ask for or any interest
@Americansamurai1 same here premium is a bust and they are just putting throw away games on it. Also Cat quest is great and assuming the new one must be close
Oooh, I've had my eye on The Settlers. I have fond memories of playing The Settlers 2 growing up.
Nice 2xtreme, I'm looking forward to hitting some bales of hay for trophies. Turns out I already have the PS1 Classic on PS3. Lucky day
Worst month I can think of since the PS Plus 3 tiers started. Oh well Cat Quests are alright I suppose havent played its sequel, yet to finish Dave The Divers plat from last month either
maybe in the top 3 worst month drop.
but close to be the number one.
outrageous drop.
Definite downgrade from April lol
Yikes, this is pretty dire. Hopefully Stranded is decent, we'll see I suppose.
I just find it absolutely hilarious that the PlayStation Blog article title cites Crime Boss, of all things, as one of the highlights. That's how you know this month's going to be a stinker even before reading the full list.
This Is Getting Embarrassing Seriously Who Wants Watch Dogs Now !!!
@WizzNL I think everyone thought they would be adding more due to so many games leaving. This is very disappointing.
I've usually been positive but this is megre for all that is leaving. Pi*s poor
Mostly horrendous selection. When do we think they're going to put tlou 1 remake on there?
@SolarSpirit86 Yep, embarrassing is the word. Watch dogs lol. The state of that.
Aside from RDR2, which I suspect most people who want to play it will already own it, and G-Police, this is an awful month. And they're taking away Teardown!
Worst month I can remember.. last one was decent for me, but this is just terrible.
Wtf is this update. Not amused with this months games
Always wanted to play RDR2 but could never be bothered to go to the effort of buying it it so I'm quite happy with that one at least
Whoever is selecting the premium titles should be fired. Of all the classics on PS1 they mostly choose games from the nose bleed section. PS1 being a legendary jrpg machine you'd think every month thered be one of those. No one, or at least the vast majority of players, do not care about the games they're putting on premium which will then fuel the Sony corporates to say over and over no one cares about classics. So dumb
The Settlers is the only one of interest to me. But according to the PlayStation Blog, RDR2 and Watch Dogs were on the service before, so maybe they'll stay this time! Lol
G-Police is absolutely hardcore in terms of its difficulty spike. If you like tough games, you will like this. It is however also one of THOSE kinds of 90s games where you will be grappling with the controls and the draw distance throughout.
I'm not sure that too many kids got through it without the level select cheat back in the day.
@WizzNL i didnt release they had a date
@atthegates agreed can't think what that would look and play like now wow
I'm happy with these, I've had Cat Quest 2 and The Settlers New Allies in my wishlist for a while.
Pretty happy to see the Cat Quest games in there, always wanted to check them out.
Premium this month is absolutely stunning, no words.
I had a blast with G-Police on PC many years ago. It's got a kind of Blade Runner vibe to it, and involves being a fighter pilot in these sci-fi space dome cities.
I've no idea how the game holds up today, or whether the PC and PS1 versions had any notable differences.
Both Cats Quest games are paw-some. Great picks
I’m actually looking forward to a few of these games. And I know my daughter will enjoy at least 2. So sucks losing the games. But I’ll be playing these and be content with it.
Very hyped to finally play Deceive Inc. Been wanting that game for a little while.
That aside, what a weak month. If Watch Dogs and RDR 2 were getting 60fps patches it would be great, but as it is it's just a repeat of headliners we've had previously on PS NOW/ Plus Extra (that most have likely bought regardless).
Most disappointing are the Premium options. No PSP games? How long is it going to take for Sony to give us Daxter, Motorstorm Artic Edge and Ratchet & Clank Size Matters?
This will give me an excuse to actually play Crime Boss: Rockay City. I'm not too sore about all of the Final Fantasy titles leaving the service as I own them already anyway.
A Moribund Month.
Red Dead 2 is amazing but I played it years ago. Watch Dogs is being re-added, it was on it until a few months back. Bad bad bad.
Worst month in recent memory lol
G-Police. That’s a deep cut. If only Sony could get Square to put Einhander on the service.
Enjoyed G-Police back then, and I know I run the risk of spoiling good memories by playing something that's probs dated, but gonna do it anyway.
Yeeeesh. So glad I finally let my sub lapse. This just doesn't justify a long-term sub when interesting titles are so few and far between if you regularly game and have played most of the years old staples.
@atthegates I'm wondering the same thing, i've already dropped money on the OG and the remastered, they won't get me at full price again! I might finally bite the bullet and just buy God of War Ragnarok, I kept putting off getting it because I was convinced it'd show up on the service as soon as I paid.
I've really enjoyed Extra, and this is genuinely the first month since i've subscribed that I've not been interested in anything since it began. I already own RDR2 but apart from that.....
You’d think they’d try a little harder with Hellblade II hitting GamePass this month. But guess with the huge console lead, they don’t care.
Agree with others. Worst PS Plus Extra month ever.
@__Seraph Yep i'm in the same boat mate. I've bought it enough, not doing it again. And i'd imagine there's tons of people in the same boat. Ragnarok is very good but i can see it being added to plus soon. That and tlou are the only decent first party games left that aren't on plus!
The Premium titles seem decent this month, but definitely not worth premium itself. And nothing good on Extra it seems like this month. Makes me glad I just decided to go back down to essential
Watch Dogs would be something to dip toes in... if it wasn't installed on my Deck already. But I might still use this opportunity to sample RDR2 and Stranded.
When even Pushsquare doesn’t hype up the selection you know it’s REALLY bad 😅
So they removed red dead 2 and watch dogs and added it again few months later ?
Playing G-Police for the first time is one of my iconic PS1 memories - I am stoked.
If I weren't so busy with Dave, Tunic, and Animal Well, I'd be pretty bummed about this month. I already had my fill of Cat Quest 2 for like $3 back on the PS4. Poopity woopity.
Perfectly fine drop, crybabies will cry.
There’s not much of interest for me this go around, but I might check out Cat Quest 1 and 2 for a palate cleanser for meatier games I play. I might even check out Watch Dogs and go for the platinum. I really enjoyed my time with it when it first came out.
@GZoo Me too, I loved the PSOne back in the day. I was die hard PS back then lol. Swapping games in the underground high school gaming scene, good times.
I love that there was so many games out back then and because of the graphical jump so many of them were like nothing we’d ever played before.
@Pete_Stooge. Haha.no i was saying that that this lineup wasnt good.but im chilling with my backlog of games.i got so many video games to play.word up son
Cat Quest is amazing
Wow. Considering the games leaving, we get these??? 💩💩💩💩
Do you think I would enjoy RDR2? I am concerned that it might be a bit too slow and narrative focused for me.
I primarily play action oriented games with excellent high fps performance and do not prefer open worlds or narrative heavy games. At the same time I do not want to miss out on a a game that is wideley considered a masterpiece.
I did enjoy but didn't love GTA5. I thought the gameplay was subpar, mostly due to the weird aiming mechanics. I did enjoy the exposition but I get the impression that RDR2 has a lot more and that concerns me. I've also enjoyed but again did not love more story focused open worlds like the Horizon games, AC Odyssey, and the Witcher 3.
@Bentleyma prepare to have your memories dishonored, slapped around and spat on
Was excited to see two city builders on the list only to find that they're both pretty mediocre entries...
@Ultrasmiles
My guess is that they typically license these games out for a year or so and then have to renegotiate the deal. Seems like Sony deemed it worth it to grab Red Dead 2 and Watchdogs again.
Aside from RDR2, which I already own, there's nothing of great import. I might check out the Cat Quests games .... someday ... not a great month!
That's it !! I'm NOT gonna renew my subscription. Too many uninteresting games for several months now.
The huge price raise last year for PS Plus, was a big joke !!
@PapaGlitch I'm a person who hasn't played it and would like to.
Cat Quest is fantastic. Naysayers gonna say nay.
Go premium! I have most of these but heyho!
Is this how far PlayStation have fallen? An add on pack for the sims, being one of the featured "games." Just lol. What a joke!
Time to tackle the backlog. Resident Evil 2 Remake here I come
Essential has wiped the floor with Extra and Premium this month. I'll be giving Cat Quest a go with my youngest, so there's that. If it's good we'll play the sequel, so I suppose the month has paid itself off.
I dont think the Premium games are that bad, but Extra is absolutely horrible.
Cat Quest 1 & 2 have my attention. Look like a couple of quick fun games to play.
Can’t wait to delve back into g~police
Oh well, maybe I'll give g police a spin.
Looks like a good list still won’t play any of them lol G Police though, classic!
Nice the settlers and stranded were on my wishlist.
Considering what they removed, they’ve essentially raided the bargain bin for these. RDR2 is of course brilliant, but it’s old and most folk will already own it.
Not good but I feel like I already got my money's worth with animal well and Dave the Diver. I guess you could say they were last months but I haven't gotten to them yet because I'm entrenched in persona 3 after beating stellar blade. I'm very tempted to take a break for animal well though. I have no doubt I'll love that game
@RBRTMNZ
Honestly you probably won't like it but I'd give it ago just to say you have played one of the greatest games ever made and I'd even rate it higher than GTA it's just GTA is guns and cars so it's definitely just more popular for that reason.
I enjoyed red dead 2 alot, I loved it at first for it's slow pace western gameplay and enjoyed trying to play in a way that felt like I was a true cowboy.
But a bit like you after awhile I found the pace to be quite boring but I did enjoy the story and the main quest. The game though truly is one for the explorers and lots of stuff happening off the beaten track.
I found GTA 5, ok it ain't the master piece people say it is and beside the main story there isn't much to discover apart from eye candy mysteries rather than interactive ones.
But honestly just give it a go for a bit and see if it clicks.
On topic though
Stranded alien dawn is a great unique take on a survival tower defense game. I'm still playing it now on PC so that's a great addition the others have already been on or if you wanted to play then you already have.
But if your into Base building and resource gathering while trying to maintain your 4 characters mental health then alien dawn is a great game.
@EngFin That Bad?
Red Dead 2 again? How about the PS4/5 port of Red Dead Redemption?
@nessisonett in fact, RDR2 is also being re-added. It was there when I first subscribed
@vikramsingh Very true, I thought it was still on the old PS Now!
@nessisonett No clue about PS Now, since the service is not available in my region 😞
I'd be happier if RDR2 had (PS5) next to it.
I might try RDR2 again
@nessisonett There is no PS Now anymore. RDR2 was taken off PS+ about 3 months after the services were merged into PS+ Premium (which is also when the streaming became available in many more regions than before - which used to be very limited).
WOW i mean thats just stunningly crap! maybe time to cancel my subscription WTF?
With the huge number leaving this is a very poor selection. Cat Quest games are really good but platinumed both so no use to me.
Four YEARS ago if this was the line up we would be like RDR2 AND Watchdogs in the same month? Wow!
Just goes to show how out of step Sony are. To think anyone bar a handful of people would be interested in getting RDR2 and WD in 2024 says it all.
@Voltan Yeah, that’s what I meant to be honest. I had PS Now at the time and I remember Red Dead being on there, just assumed it went with the migration.
@nessisonett Thing is, while it was technically already on the new PS+, for a lot of people the period it was available was very brief, as they never had access to PS Now prior to the overhaul
I myself started it in that period but didn't get far before it was taken off
@Voltan It’s such a long game that they really need to give people the time to finish it!
This update actually pushed me to cancel my ps+ entirely today. I was already close since I already have gamepass and don't have enough time to properly make use of both subscriptions, but Sony clearly doesn't care about making this worthwhile for users.
@Pete_Stooge thanks for the feedback!
@Bez87 on the one hand the role playing and exploration you mention are unappealing to me personally but on the other hand you’re right that I should just give it a shot. It’s on a service I pay for so why not? I appreciate your thoughts.
@Frmknst My dude, I referred to the game as a masterpiece and mentioned issues I might personally have based on my gaming preferences. There is really no need for you passive aggressive comment.
@RBRTMNZ settle down timmy
@RBRTMNZ totally get where your coming from.
I've always had that i like the idea of it but when it came to it get bored easily.
Quite enjoyed watching others play it to be quite honest, not all the way but seeing the spots what are off the beaten track which I never got to.
I have alot of respect for the game because of so much detail there is outside the main story.
But its definitely very slow paced and fast travel is an upgrade,
But like you said your paying for the service, why not. You may find it clicks for you, if not you ain't lost anything and least you can say you gave it ago.
It's very frustrating when you own almost all the extra games. I still have my original copy of G-Police, among a wide collection of PS1 games. I own circa 300 games, including Castlevania:Symphony of the Night Limited Edition (Sealed) as I am led to believe this is worth something.
@Gremio108 Cat Quest is worth it and the sequel is fun as 2 player local coop 👍🏼
Did not know it had two-player co-op, that's nice to know
